There are health risks associated with using ultraviolet (UV) tanning equipment, including skin cancer, cataracts, premature ageing of the skin, sunburnt skin, dryness and itching, bumpy rashes and eye irritation / conjunctivitis. UV tanning equipment should be treated with the same caution as normal sunlight.

Never use UV tanning equipment without eye protection. Always use the goggles provided. Remove contact lenses if worn and keep eyes closed at all times. Avoid looking directly at the light tubes. Remove all traces of make-up and deodorants before use.

Only products specifically formulated for UV tanning equipment may be used. Accelerants and non-UV-specific suntan preparations or lotions must not be applied.
